There's not much that beats fresh-baked biscuits with dinner. This simple recipe will have hot biscuits on your table in no time!

How to make it:

  • Combine dry ingredients. 

  • Cut in shortening/butter. 

  • Add milk and mix until just combined. 

  • Roll or pat to ½ inch thick. Cut out shapes. 

  • Bake at 450 F for 10-12 minutes.


  • 2 c flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 4 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp cream of tartar

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • ½ c shortening or butter

  • 2/3 c milk
